The candidate will be part of a team responsible for a wide range of activities within the Head Office accounting function, therefore the right attitude and a drive for learning are crucial to help maintain the high standards within the Head Office Team.

Accountabilities
Completion of monthly accounting Duties including month end close process for 3 companies.
In month accounting duties to include allocation of cash payments, assistance with preparation of monthly reporting packs, preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring action taken to clear open items, intercompany posting and reconciliations.
Coding and posting of purchase invoices, reconciling supplier accounts and preparing aged supplier account listings, processing the BACS payment run and allocating to invoices.
Periodic and monthly bank reconciliations – ensuring reconciling items are cleared on a timely basis.
Preparation of VAT workings /returns for the Group
Tax Compliance with HMRC for Group Companies

Compensation
£19,000-£25,000 salary per annum; company profit share available after certain requirements are met
Holiday Allowance 23 days; (3-4 held for Christmas Shutdown) +1 day at 4yrs; +1 day at 8yrs

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
AAT qualified or be in the final stage of completing AAT qualification. Experience of working in a Finance department, in either management or Financial accounts. Proven ability to thrive and excel in a fast-paced dynamic environment with high performance expectations. Must have the ability to learn quickly and be willing to take instruction whilst acting autonomously on certain tasks. Ability to deliver to tight deadlines Integrity to handle sensitive and confidential data · Proficient in Excel Experience of Sage accounts packages an advantage (though not essential)
