Job Description

The primary focus of this role is to deliver outstanding service levels to the business and manage the interaction with suppliers through robust purchase order management and collaboration with key stakeholders throughout the supply chain. The successful candidate will demonstrate a have a high level of organization and ability to solve problems to ensure continuity of supply and accuracy of data.

Duties will include:

  • Booking and raising purchase orders and contracts with suppliers
  • Flagging any discrepancies with suppliers
  • Ordering and management for general sales planning in line with revenue targets and orders
  • Organizing periodic stock takes on high turnover stock lines
  • Purchase planning and forecasting stock
  • Ensuring the companies KPI’s regarding stock levels are met
  • Cost saving initiatives including finding alternative suppliers
  • Negotiating better pricing with existing suppliers
  • Expediting open purchase orders to ensure delivery is on time and in full
  • Assisting the accounts department to resolve any invoice queries before month end
  • Producing reports weekly to make other departments aware of any potential stock issues
