Job Description

The system administrator plays a vital role leading and executing IT infrastructure projects across EMEA and globally. As part of a team you will design and implement solutions to technology challenges as well as provide 3rd line support across Hologic’s on-premise and cloud-based estate.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Maintain Active Directory
  • Participate in On-Call rotation
  • Troubleshoot/resolve hardware and software issues with Windows systems as needed
  • Monitor Windows server performance and availability
  • Promote and maintain server patch management practices
  • Provide metrics for capacity management purposes
  • Monitor server load and implement load balancing when needed
  • Identify, upgrade, and replace server hardware where appropriate
  • Conduct periodic HA/DR planning exercises as required
  • Manage and participate in projects as assigned and work with team members across the company to deliver project goals.
  • Resolve assigned trouble tickets and maintain accurate status in Hologic’s ticketing systems
  • Ensure that all security requirements are met or exceeded
  • Document technical designs and procedures
  • Communicate information through effective written and oral communication and presentations

Windows Server experience VMware virtualization experience Possess strong analytical and troubleshooting skills Ability to oversee the development and execution of detailed project plans Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or equivalent Hands-on Microsoft Exchange Experience / Microsoft OCS/Lync/Skype for Business Experience / Microsoft Office 365/Exchange Administration / Microsoft System Center Operations Manager Experience hands-on experience with Cisco UCS & Dell HW platforms hands-on Windows system administration experience in a distributed environment experience designing and implementing projects including Active Directory, Microsoft server clustering using Windows 2012/2016 Server, Windows DFS, Remote Desktop Services Demonstrated knowledge of SAN Technologies (Pure/EMC a plus) Demonstrated knowledge of SSO/SAML/ADFS/IDP (SecureAuth a plus) Demonstrated knowledge and experience with VMware ESX 3/4/5/6 Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Windows servers and related technologies Working knowledge of Microsoft Applications and Services (including, WSUS, IIS, FTP, DNS, DFS, TCP/IP, DHCP, SNMP) Candidate must be self-directed and capable of working on several projects and efforts simultaneously
