Job Description
Responsibilities
Distribution and review of engineers' drawings and documentation to client and suppliers.
Downloading of client and seller documents from web-based data sites.
Logging revisions of design specifications onto spreadsheets.
Liaising with clients and suppliers and chasing for any necessary documentation.
Scanning, photocopying and compiling of Project Documentation. e.g.: Status Reports; Shipping Lists; Operation Manuals.
Updating steel weight records and cost estimates from external fabricators.
Assist the Project team with writing and updating the lists of materials used.
Setting up meeting rooms and organising refreshments for Projects' client meetings.
Arranging flights and accommodation for Project Team.
Taking telephone calls for the Project Team; taking messages, diverting and filtering calls; responding to callers' queries where possible.
Archiving Projects' documentation.
Supporting the Projects Department with any other duties as required, including one-off projects. Some travel may be required.
Additional Information
This is an office-based job in a department managing engineering projects and involves working with a lot of figures and detailed information
Accuracy and a high level of numeracy are therefore essential
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
A good knowledge of Microsoft Office: Excel and Word Good telephone manner Keen and ambitious to succeed Good eye for detail Numerate Ability to work as part of a team An interest in engineering is also an advantage but not essential 5 GCSEs grades A-C or equivalent including Maths, English and Double/Triple Science
