The main duties of the role are as follows:
Key Duties:
• Full ownership of sales, purchase and bank ledgers. Responsible for coding, posting and payment of all supplier invoices, raising sales invoices, bank and petty cash reconciliation.
• VAT calculations and returns under MTD. Knowledge of partial exemption and de-minimis is essential.
• Payroll for a team of four, to include all HMRC returns and reporting as required by auto-enrolment.
• Management of cashflow, monitor debtors, and report to department heads with any concerns.
• Production of monthly management account pack to discuss with business owners.
• Work with department heads to produce annual budget.
• Liaise with external accountants at year end.
Due to the team being small, the business are looking for someone who is a good communicator, a strong team player aswell someone who is friendly and positive.
Any experience of agricultural accounting would be a bonus.
