Job Description

The successful candidate will manage project tasks from inception to completion, be experienced and competent in the preparation of schedules of work/pricing documents, technical specifications, preliminaries, contract conditions, employers’ requirements, cost plans and estimates.

This varied role will include for example:

Procurement Advice – OJEU, leaseholders

Preparing Tender document and analyzing Contractors Tenders

Advising on and preparing forms of Contract

Managing Interim Valuations

Agreeing Final Accounts

Advising on contract conditions, loss & expense and delay

Preparing cost plans

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
BSc Quantity Surveying degree (would consider a Building Surveyor with the desired experience). MRICS qualified. 10 years’ post qualification experience. Exposure to Clients in the social housing sector desirable. Astute commercial & contractual awareness. Sound knowledge and managing projects using standard JCT forms of contract and consultant appointments. Proven track record of managing refurbishment and new build projects. Knowledge of CDM, Party Wall matters and Site Inspections would be advantageous. Good interpersonal, communication and written articulation skills. Ability to negotiate and a methodical approach to work. Full UK driving license and willingness to travel to projects throughout the UK.
