Job Description

We want someone that is not afraid of getting stuck in and taking control. This area of HR requires a lot of change to help the hospital attract and retain talent for a wide range of professions including Nursing, Psychology, Therapy and Doctors. The right person for the role will:

  • Manage the recruitment from start to finish, working autonomously at a local level but join forces with our central on-boarding team to achieve the overall results
  • Demonstrate innovation and creativity and not be afraid to try new things
  • Have the ability to strike up excellent relationships with the Ward Managers and Departmental Leads and take time to understand their needs
  • Work closely with our Regional Resourcing Business Partner to understand and interpret our Company wide recruitment strategy
  • Possess top class organizational skills with the ability to priorities workload
  • Proactively utilize our people plan to identify and forecast recruitment needs
  • Not be afraid to get stuck in and reach challenging targets
  • Thrive in a fast paced environment
  • Have a real empathy, genuinely understand and embrace that we are here to look after the people that look after our patients having a vision and being able to see the bigger picture and how HR fits into this.
  • Know that detail is key - always using the correct grammar, punctuation and spelling
  • Provide accurate metrics to our SMT each week
  • Have knowledge of ATS systems
  • Be able to demonstrate an understanding of the importance of employee engagement with the ability to bring new ideas to the table in this respect
  • Manage our recruitment budget wisely
  • Have a positive attitude including the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships
  • Be there for their teammates – providing cover in HR Team as required
  • Assist managers with note taking at meetings and direct them to the appropriate policies and guidance notes where necessary
  • Work closely with the HR Coordinator to design and deliver a highly engaging on-boarding experience that is inspiring, informative and fun and captures the culture of the hospital both virtually (assessment centers) and in person (inductions)

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Minimum CIPD level 3 (preferably Level 5). Experience within a HR environment. Friendly, helpful and supportive demeanor. The ability to monitor and manage your own workload & plan effectively. Be self-motivated & accountable. Confidence in collaborating and communicating across departments within the business. Work using your own initiative and ability to suggest ways of improving process efficiency. Capability to set up and host Zoom meetings This is a fantastic opportunity with an amazing hospital, with a supportive management structure that has a unique family feel to it.
