Job Description

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

· Handling delivery and collection exceptions e.g. failed deliveries, cancelled deliveries, arranging re-deliveries etc.

· Coordinating and managing delivery of inbound containers with freight forwarders and our warehouse teams

· Communicating with internal office

· Communicating with customers

· Communicating with carriers

· Checking and authorizing carrier invoices, handling arising queries to resolution

· Ensuring POD’s are in place with all carriers

· Raising claims against carriers

· Maintaining and updating bookings with key customers for set deliveries, communicating effectively with both warehouse and external carriers to ensure customer expectations are met and any exceptions are handled efficiently, and root causes are identified and resolved

· Assisting in implementing new projects relating to carrier services

· Monitor and manage KPIs and reporting to management and external carriers

· Daily / weekly KPI reports

· System updates and maintenance


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· Good knowledge of transport and warehouse operations. · Systems literate ideally including WMS and SAP. · System proficient Microsoft Office Outlook and Excel. · Comfortable working in a busy fast-moving environment. · Lateral thinker. · Effective communicator. · Commercially aware. · Team player.
