Job Description

Your new role
As a Bookkeeper, you will be working as part of a team to service the sole traders, limited companies and partnerships that the firm currently works with. Your role will see you prepare the bookkeeping for the clients including VAT returns, bank reconciliations and purchase and sales ledger invoicing

A pension is provided and TOIL is also given when necessary. Your working hours will be Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00 with 1 hour given for lunch, there is also parking locally.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
In order to succeed in this Bookkeeper position you must have had experience working within an accountancy practice previously and be able to produce the bookkeeping and accounts ideally up to trial balance. You will be a good user of various IT systems including cloud based software and Sage and should be able to communicate effectively with both colleagues and clients alike. Ideally you will also have experience of producing self assessment tax returns.
