Job Description

The Audit/Accounts Senior needs to have gained previous accountancy practice-based experience and ideally be ACA/ACCA part/ fully qualified. The Accountancy Practice are a keen advocate in continued professional development and are happy to provide ACA or ACCA study support. It would be advantageous if you have working knowledge of Accountancy cloud-based packages including Xero.

This practice would be willing to train someone in Audit if they have gained previous accountancy practice accounts based experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Accounts preparation to Manager review. Liaising with clients via the telephone and assisting with basic enquiries. Meeting clients at their premises or in the office as and when required. Running quarterly VAT returns for clients. Posting of journals for expenses and wages. Working with cloud-based Accountancy software and Excel. Liaising with the HMRC as and when required. Planning and preparing external audits. Attending external Audits and working with clients at their premises. Working knowledge of UK GAAP (including FRS 102) and International Auditing. Identifying ways to maximize the relationship with clients and deliver added value. Working collaboratively with colleagues from other departments.
