Job Description
They are looking for an experienced financial accountant to join the central reporting team at the heart of this organisation. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is newly qualified up to two years qualified (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) looking for their next move from practice into industry. Working in this varied role you will be responsible for:
Assisting in the preparation of statutory and interim accounts for the group and subsidiary companies as required
Maintenance of investment loan records ensuring they are up to date and reconciled to the financial ledgers
Undertaking IFRS 9 classification assessments for all financial assets and liabilities for reporting and disclosure purposes
Providing support to make sure the accounting policies are fully documented and updated for any new policies or changes to existing policies
Preparation of monthly investment transactional data to the BI team for incorporation to the Board report
Liaison with the Group's tax advisors for the preparation of the annual accounts estimates and CT computations for submission to HMRC
Any ad hoc projects as and when needed
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
It is likely you will hold a professional accounting qualification ACA / ACCA or equivalent with a good grounding in technical accounting. Ideal role for someone who is looking for a first move from practice into industry. A knowledge of International accounting standards would be ideal and if not an aptitude to develop this Knowledge and understanding of UK corporation tax would also be ideal Interviews will be conducted over video initially and there will be remote working for the rest of 2020 .
