Working closely with the Finance Director and supporting the Accounts Assistant you will be responsible for:
Processing monthly payroll for 80 employees, both time sheets and salaried
Responsible for the subcontract ledger of over 200 subcontractors including compliance
Credit control using written and verbal communication
Cashflow forecasting
Paying suppliers
Banking
Maintaining and reconciling the general ledger
Ensure compliance with HMRC VAT requirements, including submission of quarterly VAT returns
Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts
Other ad hoc duties as required

AAT qualified or qualified by experience Previous payroll experience is essential Experience using accounting software or ERP systems is desirable Experience of working within the construction industry/dealing with subcontractors is desirable Good IT skills are essential including a working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets
