Role Responsibility
- Undertaking evaluations on matter files against agreed criteria for the business and clients
- Accurately recording the results of the evaluations so that they can be collated into reports for feedback
- Providing timely and comprehensive reporting, highlighting areas where criteria has not been met and identifying any trends and patterns in compliance levels
The role will develop and include:
- Co-ordinating audits, including creating the necessary documentation for the audit, dealing with the logistics and liaising with the client at the appropriate time
- Hosting regular audit meetings with the rest of the team to monitor any issues
- Generating final reports for the client and leading on feedback meetings to discuss the findings with them
- Agreeing the appropriate corrective action and feeding this back to the Quality & Information Security Manager for it to be monitored and followed up as appropriate
The role requires:
- Ability to work flexibly with a combination of home and office working, including attendance at regular team meetings as required at DAC Beachcroft offices
- The flexibility to travel to other offices as required. This can involve staying away from home. The length of time away from home and regularity will depend upon the requirements of the audit. Travel and staying away from home may also be required for team meetings and strategy days, reviews and appraisals.
- Using the firm's various case management systems as files can be paper, electronic or both
- A high level of objectivity in reviewing files against criteria

- Working on more than one audit at any given time
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Qualified to a minimum of 5 GCSEs (including a grade C in English and Maths) or equivalent; or at least two years previous experience of working in a professional environment Good IT skills with a knowledge of Microsoft Office packages although further training can be given if required The ability to manage own workload Good written and oral skills A good team player who is supportive of others within the team Ability to give and receive constructive feedback A confident decision-maker Contributes effectively to the overall performance of the team Responds positively to change Flexible and adaptable Good interpersonal skills Focused and analytical Delegates tasks effectively Some knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules or previous experience of file handling would be an advantage, but is not necessary. Previous knowledge of auditing is not required as full training will be given although an interest in Quality Management would be required.
