This is initially a 3 month temporary assignment, working 37 hours per week (Monday – Friday).
Within this position, you will be responsible for processing all planning and building control applications and associated administration in a timely, efficient and effective manner whilst complying with the practises and procedures laid down for applications. You will also be required to promptly act upon receipt of appeals against planning decisions, liaise with Development Management staff, identify constraints, consultations and publicity requirements for applications and record and action any enquiries relating to decision notices.
The ideal candidate for this position will have experience of working within a busy office environment, have excellent communication skills and have a basic understanding or awareness of planning, building control or appeals / applications.
