Job Description

Key responsibilities of the role will cover;

- An active role in month end with responsibility for internal and external reporting, providing commentary and challenge to stakeholders
- Coordinating and producing month end financial statements, covering consolidated business areas, in accordance with local GAAP’s and IFRS
- Management accounts and balance sheet substantiation
- Completion of regulatory returns and commentary for internal use - including capital reporting
- Key in discussions with auditors on a number of areas including accounting policy, enhancement and queries
- Proactive engagement with the business to investigate discrepancies and build a wider network to ensure smooth month end closure
- Management information for business use
- Engaging in process improvement activity in both finance and the wider business
 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Applicants will be able to show a comprehensive understanding of the balance sheet and movements within this which they can use as the basis for success in the role. Experience accounting for overseas entities would also be of benefit as well as regulatory experience. Strong interpersonal and excel skills are key as well as a proactive approach to working with others and hitting deadlines for the business. Past experience preparing financial statements will also be of benefit due to the core deliverables of the role.
