Job Description

Our client are leaders in bespoke, special purpose machines and automated equipment. The Sales and Business Administrator is a new position reporting to the Sales and Business Director. The position supports the sales, marketing, business and service functions.

As the Sales and Business Administrator, you will be involved in enabling the smooth running of the different business functions. The position is key to maintaining excellent customer service and supporting the Sales and Business Director, Senior Engineers and Service Engineers in their roles.

This position is ideally suited to a bright, flexible and organised individual who enjoys learning, establishing structure and working with people. The right candidate may be a school leaver, graduate or already experienced in sales or business administration. The successful candidate will be supported in a career development programme.

Activities for the role include:-

  • Sales
    • Supporting the management and administration of the Sales Opportunity Pipeline
    • Building and maintaining the Customer Relationship Management system
    • Supporting the processing of new sales orders
    • Communicating with customers and potential customers
  • Customer Services
    • Assisting Service Engineers in the quotation and sales orders processing of spares and maintenance requirements
  • Marketing
    • Supporting the continuous development of the business’ marketing activities such as organising for conferences and exhibitions, upgrading and maintaining the website, establishing regular customer newsletters, supporting customer surveys and the ongoing development of marketing material
  • Administration
    • IT Support – coordinating the company IT support with the third-party provider
    • Recruitment – facilitating the placement of adverts and management of applications for ongoing recruitment
  • General Administration
    • Other general administrative tasks
  • Liaison
    • Working with Sales and Business Director, Senior Engineers, Service Engineers, managers and departments as required

·Appetite to learn new systems, processes and software as required

You may have knowledge of services like Wordpress, Pegasus, Zoho and Evernote. 


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Previous administration experience, organised, able to work at a fast and efficient pace, Good computer literacy, Polite telephone manner
