Service Administrator - Automotive
Job Description
The ideal candidate will come from a background within the automotive sector, and will have administrative or service experience.
Hours of work: Mon-Fri 8am - 5pm or 9am - 6pm with a 1hour lunch break +
Saturdays 8am - 1pm on a rota basis (1 in 2 or 3 Saturdays).
Salary: £20,000
Responsibilities:
- To produce accurate invoices/claims to allow prompt payment
- To provide effective day to day workshop administration from the job cards to invoices
- To ensure all scanned job packs meet the manufacturer’s Warranty/R&M standard
- To encompass a supportive role within general after sales activities
- Reporting to the Service Manager
- Audit job card packs in line with manufacturer guidelines
- Ensure all invoiced job packs are scanned into file director against WIP number
- Submit eskulabs/one link requests as required
- Obtain and update order numbers
- To resolve account queries within 14 days of receipt
- To post and reconcile warranty/R&M payments on a weekly basis
- To resolve Repair & Maintenance/Warranty denials and queries within 5 days with customers or colleagues as required
- To maintain WIP to agreed levels throughout the month
- Ensure WIP remains current and that any aged WIP can be explained
- Ensure all claims submission timeframes are adhered to
- Liaise with manufacturers as required via telephone, email etc
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Motor industry experience is essential, preferably in an administrative or Service-related role Kerridge experience is advantageous Strong organisational skills Strong communication skills both written and verbal I.T. Literate - Microsoft Word/ Excel as well as Kerridge
