Job Description
They will be responsible for ensuring that drivers understand their logistical routes, and driver briefing/de-briefings. Ensuring that company vehicles are sufficiently maintained, and the accurate administration around tachographs are also important elements of the job.
Specific duties of the Transport Administrator include:
- Match completed delivery notes to 3PL involves and ensure correct rates are charges
- Fuel reconciliation - cross checking fuel receipts against invoices
- Process bulk movements and update picking control sheets in the warehouse
- Match invoices to purchase orders when goods arrive
- Stock and inventory control
- General administration and ordering of consumables/PPE required by the business
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience working in a transport, logistics, warehousing or stock control environment An understanding of issues around transport and fleet management Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships internally and externally IT literate Strong administration skills
