Job Description

We are looking for a hard-working, resilient administrator to join our team for maternity cover, potentially leading to a permanent role. This is an exciting time to join us as we are in the process of assessing and improving many of our systems and processes – all ideas welcome! The successful candidate will receive on-the-job training in our busy and fast-paced office. Duties to include but not limited to:

  • data entry and updating client details
  • communicating with and booking appointments for values
  • audio-typing
  • sending letters to clients
  • dealing with customer and staff queries
  • processing and responding to condition report emails
  • inputting bids
  • taking payments
  • sending invoices
  • credit control
  • cashing up
  • organising shipment of sold lots and liaising with Mailboxes Etc. to facilitate collections
  • organising transportation of items between branches

This role will be dealing with members of the public face to face, by telephone, e-mail and letters. A major part of this role includes audio typing the catalogues and probate/insurance valuations completed by the valuation team. The candidate must have exceptional organizational skills to cope with a heavy work load.

Immediate start is preferable.

The hours are Monday to Friday from 9.00am to 5.30pm. Sale days are 9.00am to finish (potentially later than 5.30pm)

Applicants that are successful in reaching the interview stage may be required to complete a short computer test to measure the candidate's IT skills.
