Job Description

With the current national development of the role of the pharmacy team in general practice, this post will be responsible for co-ordinating the efficient delivery of the Pharmacotherapy service, which involves, pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, undertaking medicines reconciliation, reviewing patients on discharge from hospital, reviewing acute and repeat prescription requests, and undertaking medication reviews..

This post would suit someone with significant experience of managing a service, ideally within the health service and preferably within primary care. You will require to have a degree in a relevant area such as Management, HR, or Business Administration, or another degree, with equivalent experience or training (see person specification).

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

You should have experience of dealing with HR issues, recruiting and managing staff; skills in writing reports and business cases; collating and analysing data; knowledge of general practice, good IT skills and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
