As a Business Administration Apprentice you will be working towards your Apprenticeship in Business Administration and work as part of a friendly team to provide a fun, safe and quality experience for all of our customers.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities: • to provide administration support to all functions of the health and safety role. • to assist in arranging internal and external health and safety courses; this will include the booking of rooms, sending emails to staff and collating the replies, photocopying of handouts, updating the training register. • to assist with the update and monitoring of the E Safety Training packages, this will include updating staff, reviewing of credits, sending reminders. • to update the Evolve Trip and Event Management System, this will include updating of staff and their qualifications, running reports. • to provide administrative assistance to the Health & Safety Adviser in the preparing of reports. • to update the Computer Assessment Programme, assist to ensure that all “users” have completed the programme and have received replies to their assessments. • to review and update the Health & Safety Page on SharePoint. This will include updating and uploading documents on the health and safety page and its sections. • to assist with the update of the Emergency Folders within College buildings, this will involve visiting the buildings and obtaining up to date information from contractors under the supervision of the Health & Safety Adviser. • to assist with the management of electronic filing. • to review and order the stock of health and safety signage and equipment. • to photocopy and scan documents as required. • to visit houses and other College facilities as required under the direction of the Health & Safety Adviser.

Training Our client will provide a Business & Administration programme and will provide the successful candidate with the following qualification: • Level 2 Apprenticeship in Business & Administration • Functional Skills in Maths and English at level 1 or 2 (for a level 2 Intermediate Apprenticeship), level 2 (for a level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship
Our client is a work-based training provider. Training, coaching and assessment sessions will normally take place at your employers premises. Some additional workshops are offered at regional centres. You will have a personal tutor and be provided with learning materials and access to an online electronic portfolio and virtual classroom.
You will be continually assessed throughout your course and the nature of these assessments will vary. Some assessments are online exams, other assessment methods include work-based observations and professional discussions with your assessor.
College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and therefore all staff are required to: • undergo training on the safeguarding arrangements in College that covers the Child Protection Policy, the Staff Code of Conduct and the identity of the Designated Safeguarding Lead; • attend mandatory Child Protection training on joining, every three years thereafter and on other occasions for important updates; • ensure that they are familiar with College's health and safety guidance and ICT acceptable use guidelines and be mindful of their own health and safety and that of our pupils.
HOURS OF WORK The appointment is full-time, working 30 hours per week – your exact working pattern will be as confirmed by your Line Manager. You will undertake an additional 10 hours per week of training.
SALARY The salary for this role will be £7488 per annum (based on £3.60 per hour, 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year). Salary will be paid in 12 equal instalments on the 26th of each month. Salaries are reviewed in September of each year. Any review does not create an obligation to increase salaries in the future.
CONTRACT DURATION The appointment is for a 12 month period.
Skills Required : Candidates must be confident and approachable as you will be the first point of contact at the Sports Centre.
Future Prospects : Possible progression onto further qualifications and a full time position

Other Information : Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW): The National Minimum Wage for Apprentices is £3.50 per hour. This is the legal minimum pay per hour applying to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship. For apprentices 19 or over who have completed their first year and are continuing their apprenticeship, the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.
