Job Description

The post holder would be educated to a minimum of GCSE Level or equivalent with a very high standard of numeracy and literacy to include Microsoft Office packages. The successful candidate will also be an effective confident member of a high performing Medical Education Team.

The Foundation Programme Administrator is responsible for coordinating the education requirements for the Foundation Level Medical Trainees that are appointed to our Trust via Health Education England North West (HEENW).


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
They are required to coordinate their teaching programme via engagement with the clinical and medical staff thought the Trust ensuring attendance is monitored, trends are identified and quality is tracked and evaluated. They are also required to coordinate their clinical placements/rotations and their Educational Supervisors to ensure the trainees are able to meet the requirement of their curriculum. The post holder is also required to ensure Educational Supervisors are familiar with, and support the educational programme via the HORUS e-portfolio system as per HEENW’s requirements and to monitor the trainee’s programme to ensure compliance with the Foundation Programme.
