Job Description
  • Maintenance of accurate client accounts
  • Client liaison
  • Purchase ledger, sales ledger and client receipts / payments
  • Bank reconciliations
  • VAT return preparation and submission
  • Assisting with year-end accounts preparation
  • Ad-hoc administrational tasks and projects when required

With strong demonstrable skills from within an accountancy practice environment, you’ll possess excellent experience with control accounts, bank reconciliations and VAT returns, along with a very pro-active work ethic and the natural desire to play an adaptable role within the wider team, particularly in busy periods for the business.

In return, you’ll receive an annual starting salary of circa £23,000 - £25,000 per annum (though negotiable subject to experience), along with 25 days annual holiday entitlement plus statutory bank holidays and the option to purchase a further 5 days holiday, contributory pension scheme, healthcare and study support, if appropriate. 

This is a full-time role, but applicants also perhaps seeking reduced hours are welcome.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
A confident communicator, with good inter-personal skills (both written and verbal), you’ll be a Bookkeeper that ideally has experience with Sage and Xero, though this is not essential.
