The role of the chiropractic assistant is to work alongside the chiropractor and front of house team to provide an exceptional customer experience. While working alongside the chiropractor you will provide a multidisciplinary combined approach which may include soft tissue work, stretching, rehabilitation and advice. It is vital that we maintain excellent time keeping for the smooth running of the practice and patient satisfaction. You will also be tasked with confirming care plan frequency with patients, when their next appointment is, if they fully understand their plans of care and if they have any other requirements.
All tasks should be carried out in accordance with practice policies and procedures. We have a training manual and scripts that are a necessity to learn.
Reception:
Meet and greet patients at the front desk, providing a friendly and helpful welcome.
Respond to patients’ questions, queries and requests at the front desk and by telephone and by email.
Take messages for other members of the team and ensure they receive and act on these.
Make appointments over the telephone, by email or in person.
Schedule future appointments for patients.
Handle requests for emergency appointments and consultations.
Register new patients and handle changes to patient information.
Input patient data to the practice computer system.
Take card and cash payments for patient treatments and balance banking at the end of the day.
Make calls to prospective patients using our CRM.
Ensure the practice is immaculately clean and tidy.
Open and close the practice at the start and end of the day, if first to arrive and/or last to leave.
Chiropractic Assistant:
Meet and greet patients with a friendly and professional manner
Respond to patients’ questions, queries and requests.
Liaise with Chiropractor and other team members.
Provide general support to the Chiropractor.
Provide the complete care package and liaise with Chiropractor.
Provide safe and effective treatment advised by the Chiropractor.
Attends to patient needs, and ensures the Chiropractor runs to time.
Assist during patient examinations.
Takes some general diagnostic information including blood pressure, weight, and height and records this for the Chiropractor to use in the examination and care programme.
Provide assistance to the Chiropractor with therapies, procedures and patient handling.
Educate patients on importance of engaging in chiropractic care.
Provides patients with information about Chiropractic care and how to get the best out of their care.
Ensure the general hygiene, maintenance and smooth operation of the practice and relevant materials and equipment.
Check stock and place orders when necessary.
Ensure equipment in clean and in working order.
Maintain cleanliness of the rooms and general tidiness of the workplace.
Attend regular team meetings to problem solve and promote efficiency.
Ensure insurance is up to date.
Participate in Continued Professional Development.
Collaborate and launch new ideas, products, services, and promote them accordingly.
Work with other members of the team.
