Job Description

A background in software or development would be beneficial, however practical experience and knowledge of the following would be particularly advantageous:-

*ITIL Service Delivery and Service Support
*Incident, Problem, Change and Release management
*Querying databases using T-SQL for data investigation and reporting purposes
*Technical knowledge and administration skills in MS Internet Information Services
*Practical experience in the use of a variety of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) e.g. SOAP/REST
*Knowledge of XML & XSLT
*Problem solving skills
*A familiarity with using both iOS and Android based mobile applications
*Customer service roles

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post. Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience of working within a software service delivery and 2nd/3rd line support environment is essential for this post. You will be expected to provide/produce: *Operational support of the service, responding to and investigating to resolution of underlying operational issues in a timely manner *Advice and support to clients and third parties connecting to and using the system *Information analysis and reporting *Deployment and configuration of system releases *Collation and correction of data quality issues *System monitoring and diagnostics *Assistance and training to colleagues to both those within the application team, and those in other application / project teams *A knowledge base, by creating work instructions and configuration documentation.
