Working as a member of local Community Contact Tracing Team the main responsibilities of the role are to:
Make outbound calls to interview individuals case contacts where the case has already been identified as symptomatic and confirmed as having Covid -19
Work from a list of contacts provided by Regional teams/Contact Tracer
Advisors will be required to contact people on a daily basis for 14 days and complete an electronic dataset that will calculate risk of transmission
Advise individuals on next steps -
Support, reassure and document conversations with each contact
Escalate any concerns to Team Manager
Ability to speak Welsh * if identified when cases allocated
Key Skills Required:
Experience of assisting members of the public
Communicates clearly and concisely over a range of channels
Demonstrates resilience and is calm and controlled.
Experience in using Office (Word, e-mail, attach documents etc.)
Displays a genuine desire to help
Non clinical patient/service user support
Recognises limits of competence and escalates appropriately
Experience of dealing with confidential and sensitive data and can follow instructions on appropriate maintenance and storage of records
Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure
Able to work equally from own initiative but also as part of a team
Good time-keeping
