Job Description

You will have the opportunity to work for an established insurer who are based in the heart of the Insurance sector in the City of London.

The Role

As an External Auditor you will be responsible for delivery of the Company’s risk based external audit strategy, working within an established and highly competent team

Duties

• Contributing towards appropriate construction, design and content of the Company’s risk based rolling audit plan/schedule

• Assisting on the design, content and implementation of risk based external audits

• Ensuring the extent and depth of audits are appropriate, targeted, effective and efficiently completed

• Producing and presenting high quality, rational and impartial audit reports

• Reporting all completed audit activity

• Working alongside the Compliance and Risk team ensuring areas of non-compliance and risk exposure identified through external audit activity are recorded and reported

• Evaluating the performance and compliance of business partners, intermediaries and outsourced claims service providers through comprehensive audit activity

To be considered for this opportunity:

• Previous external auditor experience within the insurance industry

• You must have thorough knowledge and understanding of audit practices, principles and procedures including; risk based audit planning techniques and methods

• You must have a strong knowledge of corporate governance, statutory and regulatory requirements, using an outsourcing/wholesaling business model
