Job Description

We are currently on the lookout for a Linux Systems Administrator to join our Infrastructure team.

Key responsibilities will include;

  • Configuration, management, maintenance and development of the hosted systems, ensuring availability at all times
  • Developing, configuring, managing and upgrading the physical and virtual servers
  • Managing and developing virtual hosting technologies, back office applications and system monitoring software.
  • Patching, upgrading, antivirus installation and overall security of the Linux and virtual infrastructure,
  • Assisting in the design and security of supporting technical architecture
  • Liaising with an array of stakeholders to collaboratively ensure minimal downtime and disruption and executing root cause analysis to eliminate underlying or potential issues.

  • Linux system administration: 1 year (Required)

Work remotely:

  • Temporarily due to COVID-19

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience of Linux systems administration (qualifications in Red hat or LPIC would be beneficial). Exposure to diagnosing various server issues using standard open source tools. Exposure to command line scripting. Experience of cloud hosting would be beneficial but not essential
