Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and creative Workforce or HR Service Centre professional to become our Deputy Director, with the remit to lead, shape and influence our people centred Employment Service within NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership.

Our Employment Services team, consisting of Recruitment, Payroll & Pensions, Expenses, Service Improvement & Projects, and Student Award Services is a leading shared employment service, which delivers high quality, customer focused, professional services to the Health Boards and Trusts in NHS Wales. There is also scope to further enhance the services that we provide as our Technology platform develops.

As Deputy Director, you will support the Director of Workforce & OD with the overall leadership, management and performance of comprehensive Employment Services. You will help to strategically lead the division and act as a catalyst of change, challenging and redefining professional and organisational boundaries, creating an environment that engages and supports individuals to grow, develop and realise their full potential.

Working closely with the Deputy Director of Workforce & OD, you will ensure that the Employment Services division and the Workforce & OD division have a well-balanced and aligned plan, which is able to showcase the work of Employment Services across NHS Wales Workforce Community. We are looking for an individual who will seek opportunities to improve our processes, and use technology and our people to improve the NWSSP experience for both our Customers and Staff.
