What will I be responsible for?

Reporting to the Finance Manager, our new Assistant Accountant will provide financial accounting support and guidance to the management team with the provision of timely reports and data analysis. You will also take responsibility for maintaining strong financial controls as well as preparation and review of the monthly management accounts and balance sheet packs. Your daily tasks will include:

• Preparation and review of the monthly balance sheet accounts
• Preparation of the monthly management accounts and balance sheet packs
• Support the year-end accounting processes which includes preparation of the statutory accounts
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist the Finance Manager with the budget process
• Profit and loss analysis
• Variance analysis
• Forecasting reports
• Provide ad-hoc reports as requested

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Proven experience of Atlas Reporting Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work as part of a team Attention to detail with an analytical approach Excellent numeracy and literacy skills Ability to manage competing priorities Working towards an Accounting Qualification eg. ACA, ACCA , CIMA Advanced Excel user Previous experience of using ERP systems preferably D365
