Job Description

Principle Accountabilities:

  • Assist with the timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices.
  • Posting supplier payments and direct debits.
  • Supplier statement reconciliations and dealing with queries as required.
  • Reconciling bank statements.
  • Support with the setting up of manual direct debit mandates.
  • Support with the allocation of funding received, ensuring it is accurately processed at individual client level.
  • Processing policy cancellations.
  • Assist with the collection of overdue monies.
  • Assist with the preparation of insurer statements.
  • Performing basic office tasks, such as filing, data entry, answering phones, processing the mail, etc.
  • Handling communications with clients and vendors via phone and email.
  • Various other tasks as required within the department.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Numerate and confident in dealing with financial issues and processing of financial data. Must be able to manage and prioritise own workload effectively ensuring deadlines are met. Competence in use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook. Have a calm, confident telephone manner and be able to handle potential difficult conversations with Clients. Previous experience of working within an Insurance environment would be advantage but not necessary. Previous experience of Sage 200 would be an advantage but not necessary.
