A leading Global London based property consultancy is seeking an newly qualified Financial Analyst to join there team.
Based in our Global HQ, the Accounts department is looking to recruit a Financial Analyst to support the Residential division, reporting into the Residential Financial Controller.
The role will focus on supporting and providing direct assistance to Department Heads and Office Managers throughout the UK residential business, predominantly with interpreting financial information in relation to budgeting and forecasting.
Working as a Business Partner and providing a link between the residential business and the main accounts team, you will be responsible for providing commercial analysis and insight to help drive profitability and productivity throughout the business.
Some of the main duties within this role will include: • Being the primary contact for allocated divisions, presenting senior stakeholders with monthly / quarterly results. • Pro-actively looking at actuals, budgets and forecasts to understand results and communicate business performance. • Reporting on pipelines and forecasting future business activity. • Production of competitor analysis. • Liaising with departments to prepare budgets and forecasts at key times throughout the year. • Preparing monthly commentaries on performance. • Appraising new business opportunities. You will also be required to attend board meetings and to make regular office / departmental visits.
The successful candidate will ideally be a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent), and must have previous experience working as a Financial Business Partner for allocated stakeholders or departments, within a large professional organisation.
It would also be beneficial to have previous experience working in Management Accounts. You must have a good understanding of financial planning, budgeting and forecasting, and reporting.
Experience of using SAP and BPC would be preferred but not essential, along with good Microsoft Excel skills.
This role requires strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to report and influence at a senior level. You will also require good organisational skills, with the ability to work to defined timescales at keys times in the financial year.
Excellent communication skills are essential within this role, as you will be required to communicate financial data to non-financial staff within the firm.
