You will be a critical member of our Group Finance team and responsible for -
Consolidation of Group entities using Hyperion Financial Management
Timely and accurately preparation of the monthly Group Management Accounts under IFRS and US GAAP
Managing the month-end closing processes for the group accounts
Assistance with/Preparation of the Budgeting & Forecasting processes
Preparation of the annual Statutory Accounts for the Group under IFRS
Production of the annual Statutory Accounts for the UK subsidiaries under FRS 101 and liaising with the external auditors
Responsibility for the preparation of several key notes to the year-end Group Financial Statements and liaising with the external auditors in those areas
Reconciliation of key balances and preparation of supporting schedules for Group internal reporting
iXBRL tagging of Individual Financial Statements
Provide technical support on accounting matters (e.g. compliance and implementation of IFRS & US GAAP)
Identify and propose improvements and efficiencies in existing processes
Responsible to implement processes and carry out regular checks to ensure the accuracy of GL accounts
Preparation of various National Statistics schedules for the Group
Ad hoc reporting and research/investigating accounting issues
What you’ll bring
To be successful in this role you will bring a combination of -
A qualified accountant (preferably ACA) with good technical experience
Proven track record of financial and management accounting in a group environment with exposure to group consolidation including management of deliverables across multiple business units would be an advantage
Knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP preferrable
Self-starter with ability to work on their own initiative
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritise workload
Fast and responsive, ability to work to tight deadlines
Strong analytical and numeracy skills, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Proven communication and interpersonal skills and ability to interact at all levels
Demonstrable experience in working within or managing finance projects, supporting decision-making activities, and creating and developing effective business relationships
Experience with EPICOR, Hyperion and IRIS is desirable but not essential
