Job Description

The Role

You will be a critical member of our Group Finance team and responsible for -

  • Consolidation of Group entities using Hyperion Financial Management
  • Timely and accurately preparation of the monthly Group Management Accounts under IFRS and US GAAP
  • Managing the month-end closing processes for the group accounts
  • Assistance with/Preparation of the Budgeting & Forecasting processes
  • Preparation of the annual Statutory Accounts for the Group under IFRS
  • Production of the annual Statutory Accounts for the UK subsidiaries under FRS 101 and liaising with the external auditors
  • Responsibility for the preparation of several key notes to the year-end Group Financial Statements and liaising with the external auditors in those areas
  • Reconciliation of key balances and preparation of supporting schedules for Group internal reporting
  • iXBRL tagging of Individual Financial Statements
  • Provide technical support on accounting matters (e.g. compliance and implementation of IFRS & US GAAP)
  • Identify and propose improvements and efficiencies in existing processes
  • Responsible to implement processes and carry out regular checks to ensure the accuracy of GL accounts
  • Preparation of various National Statistics schedules for the Group
  • Ad hoc reporting and research/investigating accounting issues

What you’ll bring

To be successful in this role you will bring a combination of -

  • A qualified accountant (preferably ACA) with good technical experience
  • Proven track record of financial and management accounting in a group environment with exposure to group consolidation including management of deliverables across multiple business units would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP preferrable
  • Self-starter with ability to work on their own initiative
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritise workload
  • Fast and responsive, ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Strong analytical and numeracy skills, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proven communication and interpersonal skills and ability to interact at all levels
  • Demonstrable experience in working within or managing finance projects, supporting decision-making activities, and creating and developing effective business relationships
  • Experience with EPICOR, Hyperion and IRIS is desirable but not essential
