Job Description

The Senior Accountant role will play a key role in strategic financial management across the organisation and will contribute to long term financial planning. It holds responsibility for leading a team of part/qualified accountants and providing commercial support to the wider organisation.

• Oversee and lead budget monitoring and setting
• Provide financial advice, commercial support and challenge to senior non-finance stakeholders
• Drive improvements in financial management processes
• Provide leadership and development for a team of qualified and part qualified Accountants
• Develop, negotiate and lead the implementation of service level agreements and performance targets

Person:

The successful candidate will be:

• Qualified Accountant (CCAB)
• Excellent communication and business partnering abilities
• Strong management skills with previous experience of working as part of a senior management team
• Experience within a public sector organisation would be advantageous
