Your new role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, key responsibilities for this Senior Accountant role are:
- Processing high quality management accounts, incorporating financial forecasts, variance analysis and supporting narratives
- Processing statutory financial accounts and supporting schedules in accordance with relevant accounting standards, including the management of the external audit process.
- Identify and implement improvements in accounting systems, including all relevant stakeholders as appropriate.
- Produce annual and revised budgets for HQ groups, consolidating into the global budget and management accounting process
- Oversee the monthly closure of accounts process, ensuring that books are reconciled and closed including all associated accounting routines in accordance with agreed timescales.
- Produce, monitor and evaluate the actual and forecast cash and currency flows including the provision of an effective multi-currency treasury management service.
- Manage the payments, payroll and income function; including the control and reconciliation of all associated recharge accounts
- Maintain awareness of Charity SORP and other relevant accounting standards
- Manage and motivate departmental staff to perform to a high standard, conducting appraisal meetings in line with organisational policy and agree and review progress towards individual and group targets on a regular basis.
- Provide general financial and accountancy support to the organisation.

What you'll get in return
Salary £50,000 - £60,000 per annum depending on experience
25 days holiday plus banks
Hours 8.30-5.30pm Monday to Thursday, 8.30-3pm Friday (30 mins lunch)
