Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Accurately complete departmental administration in a timely manner.
  • Support the administrative duties and responsibilities of the Logistics and Facilities Manager.
  • Producing and analyzing a variety of comprehensive reports for internal stakeholders.
  • Support the processes and systems of the logistics department.
  • Assist Logistics and Facilities Manager with holiday requests and reporting.
  • Liaise with general suppliers to maintain stock levels i.e. stationary.
  • Attend meetings with service and distribution suppliers.
  • Arranging deliveries with couriers and accurately completing documentation and database records.
  • Working closely with distribution suppliers to achieve high quality service levels.
  • Professionally and effectively manage internal and external customer queries.
  • Adhere to and promote company health and safety policies.
  • Ensure all Health and Safety documentation is filed and up to date in accordance to HSE regulations.
  • Support generalized duties and colleagues within the logistics department.
  • Support the training and development of new and existing members of the team.
  • Distribution of post to internal departments.
  • Ensuring confidentiality of information.

Profile

Qualification, Experience and Skills Required:

Education:

  • A-level/Advanced NVQ or equivalent qualification.
  • Professional Administration Qualification.

Professional Experience:

  • High level of administrative experience in a similar role (logistics environment- desirable).
  • Proven experience of working in a fast paced environment with a good degree of numeracy and accuracy.
  • Microsoft Office proficient.
  • Experience of working with external suppliers.
  • Experience of developing reporting techniques.
  • Experience of working as a personal administrator (desirable).

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to produce and analyses reports. Able to work flexibly, support change and work as part of a team. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to plan and priorities work load. Customer focused. Approachable. Pro-active. Effective written and verbal communication skills.
