Utility Administration Assistant
Job Description
We’re looking for a utility administration assistant to join Co-op Power. Co-op Power is a new and exciting revenue stream for Co-op which provides sustainable energy solutions that benefit our estate, our consortium customers, and the communities we serve.
Working in a small team you’ll process and approve millions of pounds worth of energy bills that come through to us each week, making sure they’re up to date and accurate. It’s a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment in a growing team where there’s lots of opportunities to progress.
What you’ll do
- accurately check and analyses utility bills before processing them on our energy software for our stores, funeral care estate, non-trading estate and our energy customers
- work to make sure the database is always accurate and up to date by updating tariffs, new properties and sold properties
- resolve invoice errors and customer queries by both phone and email
- use Excel to create payment reports and send to customers with payment instructions
- work to a strict 21-day turnaround schedule, making sure tasks are completed to deadlines
- work collaboratively with estates, facilities and finance team

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience processing payments. The ability to work to tight deadlines in a dynamic environment. Excellent Excel skills – pivot tables, VLOOKUP and other basic formulas and functions. Experience resolving a high volume or complex queries and issues. A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Great customer service skills. The confidence to speak to customers, colleagues and partners on the phone. Knowledge of Salesforce would be an advantage.
