We currently have a requirement for a Farm Assurance Assessor to join the SGS team on a Casual employed contract.

As an Assessor you’ll be supporting organisations by using your Farming / Agricultural expertise to ensure procedures and processes meet the relevant Agricultural standards and applicable legal requirements, delivering business assurance and consumer confidence.

In addition to the above you’ll also need to demonstrate the following;

• Post-secondary education in agriculture
• Strong agricultural knowledge and applicable laws
• Evidence for auditor qualification e.g. ISO 19001 Lead Auditor course, seminars, trainings etc.
• Conduction of witness and/ or calibration audit(s).

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

To be successful in this role you’ll need extensive practical experience of Auditing against agricultural standards for animal production. You'll have a strong background within the Farming / Agricultural sector including animal production cattle/ dairy and will demonstrate an excellent understanding of cattle/ dairy farming practices (incl. Animal Welfare & Health, Hygiene, Milk Quality).
