Our client, a leader within the Construction and Building Industry has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Office/Accounts Manager to join their growing business. Responsible for a small accounts team of 3 you will be solely responsible for the company’s accounting and financial procedures as per below job duties, ensuring best practices are in place the company and team
Job Duties
Responsible for establishing and introducing internal controls over the company’s accounting and financial procedures.
Managing a team of 3 within Accounts ensuring best practices and procedures are in place.
Preparing financial statements monthly (in process) and monthly and quarterly accounts from Sage Line 50.
Monthly reconciliations of Sage Line 50 accounting software and reconciling inter-company balances.
Responsible for ensuring that all accounting allocations are appropriately made and documented, including inter-company transactions.
Sales ledger management including raising applications and sales invoices
Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash disbursements, payroll and bank reconciliation functions.
Keeping cash flow reports updated and accurate.
Preparing monthly CIS submissions.
Preparing VAT returns..
General processing and posting of journals.
Liaising with External Accountants - P11 D - Responsible for coordinating with external tax accountants for income tax preparation.
Provide accurate information to enable the payroll to be run in a timely manner.
Liaise with the accountants in a timely manner to ensure a quick turnaround of year-end accounts.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Previous management experience. Construction industry/CIS experience would be an advantage.
