Day to day management of the QA team, including completion of the audit schedule and testing programme
To develop the QA team by fulfilling training needs, coaching and leading by example
Ensure the site is audit ready at all times by making sure on-going adherence to the site QMS
Ensure incidents and non-conformances are investigated at an appropriate level and re-occurrence is prevented
Responsible for management of pest control on the site
Be the first point of contact for all on-site quality and safety issues – take action proportionate to the risk to product and target consumer
Support an improved level of technical understanding across the site &promote proactive quality management
Completion of technical KPI reports, interpreting data and initiating corrective action plans
Establish a position as a key contact with customers, suppliers, 2nd and 3rd party auditors
Play an active role in the HACCP team
Drive own personal development through training and work-based experience
You will be able to balance being hands-on in the factory and working on processes & procedures in desk-based work. You will be a strong manager who can motivate and develop a team of QA's.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The ideal candidate will have solid experience with technical systems and standards, and be experienced in working with customer and retailer systems. They will be degree qualified (or equivalent) in a food science subject and hold a Level 4 HACCP qualification.
