Our office-based systems are currently built around XERO, Woocommerce and Stripe however we are considering whether these will continue to be appropriate as growth continues. With the strong growth the business has experienced and plans going forward, we need a capable individual to help bring order to our chaos by implementing controls and assisting in developing cost-effective solutions for streamlining increasing numbers of transactions and reducing manual errors, particularly on the ecommerce side.
We sell across multiple channels, such as our retail counter, email, telephone, social media and ecommerce.
Payments are made through;
· Stripe (card payments)
· PayPal (card payments)
· Bank to bank transfers
· Cash (very few cash transactions)
We don’t have an experienced bookkeeper on the payroll, so, we need someone who is capable and has the drive and energy to manage the day to day back-office processes. The Office Manager will report to the Finance Director so plans and decisions can be fast-tracked.
As the Office Manager, your duties splits into the following core areas;
1. Sales and Sales ledger control
2. Purchase and purchase ledger control
3. Assisting the warehouse manager and FD in establishing a robust stock-control system
4. Assisting the FD as required
5. Supporting the staff in serving clients who call at our counter/answering telephones
To be a success in this position, you simply need to convince us that you have the experience, skills and drive to implement effective recording and control systems. We would prefer you to have a number of years’ experience;
· In bookkeeping, preferably with XERO,
· Ecommerce sales and
· purchase control systems
In return, the Office Manager will receive a salary of up to £24,000 pro-rata to the hours we mutually agree. In addition we offer 30 days holiday, (including Bank holidays), pro-rata to the number of hours worked, on-site parking, flexibility around hours/days worked, including a flexi-scheme that enables you to build extra days off.
Hours/days to be mutually agreed. Initially we require attendance each day, but growing with the business over time

All visitors have to hand sanitize, including staff who also have their temperatures checked before they start work. Surfaces are regularly disinfected. We have plenty of space so social distancing is not an issue.
