* Directs finance operational strategies by analysing trends; preparing critical measurements; implementing production, productivity,
quality, and customer-service strategies; designing systems; resolving problems; implementing change.
* Implements finance budget by anticipating requirements, trends, and variances; developing action plans; measuring and analysing
results; initiating corrective actions; minimising the impact of variances.
* Develops financial management framework by analysing operational requirements; developing support and control structures and
systems; creating profitability models; preparing finance and accounting policies and procedures.
* Develops financial plans by contributing financial information, analysis, and recommendations to operational strategic thinking and
direction; studying capacity models; establishing financial objectives; preparing and updating rolling forecasts; preparing annual and three year
operating and capital budgets.
* Obtains return on investments by preparing business cases; maintaining rapport with financial community; establishing and adjusting
investment objectives; monitoring investment performance.
* Maintains financial performance by developing operating and financial metrics; analysing results and trends; providing budget variance feedback; reviewing contracts including pricing and terms; driving financial accountability throughout operating units.
* Improves financial performance by identifying opportunities in operations; conducting efficiency studies; initiating changes; leading cross-functional teams.
* Completes accounting requirements by establishing and maintaining system of accounts; maintaining transactions and records; preparing and analysing financial reports; contracting with external auditors; determining costs; filing required reports; maintaining compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP); planning tax requirements.

Skills/Qualifications/experience:
Post-graduate level degree in finance
Previous entrepreneurial experience specifically finance-related
Experience of working within the start-up community, specifically within finance
Experience in undertaking financial diagnosis of start-ups or satellites of 1-10 people, including experience in developing budgets and managing profitability
Experience in advising/working with technology-based start-ups
Professional experience managing and maintaining and using ( name financial software packages )
