Job Description

In the role of Senior Administrative Assistant, the purpose of the role is to develop and implement a comprehensive, effective and efficient administrative support service to meet business requirements

Role Responsibilities

  • Compilation of routine letters, e-mails & word processing of other correspondence including letters, mailshots & reports as required by teams/management
  • Data inputting, updating & maintenance of client information system (AIS), including compilation of statistics for management information, with the use of Excel spread sheets
  • Scheduling of meetings, booking venues and refreshments as required
  • To undertake any training required for job role
  • Ordering of stationery (Where appropriate)

Experience of working in Public Sector environment or similar Experience of using AIS IT System Good standard of education including GCSE or equivalent grades A-C in Maths and English RSA in Typing/Word Processing NVQ in Administration or equivalent Working knowledge of AIS/ESCR

Additional Information

  • The role of Senior Administrative Assistant is a 3 month temporary position to start as soon as possible with the possibility of an extension
  • The hourly rate on the role is £9.74, Monday - Thursday 0830 - 1700 and Friday 0830 - 1630
  • The role is working from home with the occasional travel to the office
  • We are looking for 2 full time and 1 part time members of staff. The part time hours are flexible as agreed by the hiring manager

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience of providing a frontline service to customers, particularly by phone Effective communication skills both written and verbal Ability to prioritise workload, multi-tasking with minimal supervision & adapting to changing priorities Experience of working with confidential/sensitive information Ability to compile routine letters, e-mails and other correspondence Input & interrogation of computerised information using databases Aptitude to learn bespoke IT systems An excellent team player with a flexible approach Good organisational and time management skills Ability to build/maintain good working relationships with managers & staff Awareness of equalities issues and anti-discriminatory practice A good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook General administrative experience Ability to meet the travel requirements of the role
