Responsibilities of the Senior Management Accountant:
Financial Accounting
• Manage the month end close process for the operating entities
• Timely and accurate production of monthly management accounts
• Review and analyse key variances
• Overall responsibility for the general ledger, revenue and receivables and purchases to payables cycles
• Work with the payroll bureau to ensure the accurate and timely facilitation of payroll and the accounting thereof
Internal Reporting and Business Performance Meetings
• Review operations report included in monthly board pack for completeness and accuracy
• Prepare key highlights for presentation at monthly Senior Management Meeting
• Review monthly P&L with Business Unit Managers to drive both financial and operational performance improvement
• Suggest and perform ad hoc analysis to identify areas for commercial improvement
• Ensure integrity of weekly key performance reporting
• Ensure numerous and varied ad hoc reporting requirements are met
Budgeting/Forecasting
• Utilise knowledge of the business to assist with the Budget process and forecasting
• Update forecasts on a monthly basis for actual results and current trading outlook
Financial Statements and Audit
• Support the audit process to ensure efficient, effective audit
• Timely and accurate preparation of Financial Statements
Finance Team Development
• Support Operations Finance Team to ensure all reporting requirements are met
• Continually strive to improve processes and efficiency
• Develop team members
The successful Senior Management Accountant will be a dynamic part qualified accountant with proven Supervisory skills, ideally with previous Multi-Site experience who possesses excellent Excel skills and in return you will receive a salary of between £35k-£45k
