Job Description

We are a large national charity with our Head office based in Stockport, looking for an enthusiastic Finance Officer to work in our fast paced and friendly Financial Reporting Team. We are seeking to appoint a Finance Officer with a hands-on approach, and good experience of successfully producing Balance Sheet Reconciliations.

You will be working collaboratively in the Financial Reporting Team alongside the Financial Accountants, who will provide the support to enable you to develop in this role. You will assist in the production of management accounts with responsibility for the completion of accurate and timely balance sheet reconciliations and the resolution of any associated differences. A good understanding of double entry bookkeeping would be advantageous in the role.

This would be a great opportunity for an individual with previous accounts experience to develop and progress to a formal AAT qualifications after successful completion of a suitable initial period.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

You will need to be well organized, hard-working and flexible as this is a fast paced role. You will be able to work independently, manage your own workload and respond flexibly to the needs of the team and the wider organization. You will be IT proficient with particularly emphasis on MS Excel, with excellent written/verbal communication skills.
