The role of Semi Senior Accountant
As a Semi Senior Accountant you will be joining a team to play an instrumental part in delivering excellent client service. Being proud of their fantastic reputation for providing top quality customer service to all its clients big or small this firm values their clients immensely. Working within a team 8 they have many years’ experience in the industry you will be able to gain significant exposure of preparing accounts for Sole Traders, Partnerships, SME’s, and Limited Companies.
Key Responsibilities
- Accounts preparation for clients ranging from Sole Traders, Partnerships, SMEs, and Limited Companies
- Preparation of monthly and quarterly VAT returns and preparation of management accounts
- Company and self-assessment tax returns
- Bookkeeping and account preparation for directors, shareholders and statutory bodies
- Communication with HMRC
- Accounts administration on an ad hoc basis
- Attending client meetings as and when required
- Managing around 200 accounts
Requirements
- You will have a minimum of 2 years' relevant accounts experience in Practice
- You will have previous experience of working in an accountancy practice and demonstrate a "can do" attitude.
- You will be either AAT qualified or part qualified ACCA/ACA
- Experience in Sage 50 Account and Sage 50 payroll would be beneficial
- Proven track record of having worked to deadlines with a high level of accuracy would be desirable
- Ability to demonstrate excellent communication skills
- Strong analytical and numeric skills are essential
- Excellent Excel skills would be advantageous
