Your new role

Key Duties

• Preparation and submission of Owner Statements, VAT Reports and other reports as required by the client
• Report to the Team Leader on a regular basis and keep them informed on relevant issues relating to the designated portfolio.
• Support the Team Leader in the performance of the team, offering advice and instruction to other members of the team where required.
• Responsible for the line management of a small team. Ability to work with and motivate people, handle team dynamics and ensure that all company line management requirements are met in good time.
• Ensure all monies received and expended on behalf of clients are accounted for correctly, in accordance with RICS regulations and current legislation.
• Ensure all transactions are reported to the client in accordance with their requirements and agreed timescales.
• Produce and reconcile monthly and quarterly reporting including trial balance, VAT reporting and Aged Debt.
• Update and monitor the property management accounting system, and any other databases, in accordance with instructions of the surveying team.
• Work with the Assistant Client Accountant to ensure there are no backlogs of work.
• Be familiar with RICS regulations, CIS, VAT & NRL requirements, and the internal procedures manual.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Successful candidate MUST have worked the property experience as a client accountant or property accountant. Support training and onboard individual, supervising or managing individuals or a team.
