Job Description

The Financial Accountant will be responsible for the following:

• Preparation of consolidated monthly management accounts for the Group
• Tracking costs against Budget to identify cost savings/ efficiencies
• Monthly reporting and financial analysis on P&L and Balance sheet
• Prepare quarterly financial reporting information for investors
• Ownership of the parent company P&L and balance sheet and checking accuracy
• Performing audit quality reconciliations across P&L and balance sheet
• Reviewing accounting policies and check financial statement in line with accounting standards
• Supporting with internal and external audit requirements
• Reviewing and setting up weekly payment runs
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns
• Liaising with third parties i.e. External auditors, banks, HMRC
• Supporting and covering the Financial Controller with any other ad-hoc duties as required

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) Degree educated with at least 2:1 or above Strong technical reporting and Excel skills Ability to work under pressure in a very fast paced, agile environment Ability to adapt to change Must have experience in a similar accounting role, in a similar sized company and team with exposure to foreign currency Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and a real team player Ability to learn quickly, work autonomously and use own initiative essential Results driven with high levels of integrity and accuracy
