Job Description

As a senior management accountant you will be responsible for managing development projects from a finance perspective and acting as a partner with the development team.
Duties:

• Responsible for overseeing the production of the monthly management accounts in line with agreed timescales
• Coordinate the development of the annual budget, working with budget holders to determine phased income and expenditure budgets that will deliver their business plans.
• Review and challenge forecasts from budget holders and input forecasts where necessary
• Providing day-to-day direction, coaching and mentoring support to members of your team
• Write commentary/variance analysis for budget holders prior to review meetings and assist in the production of board papers
• Attend and contribute to monthly management accounts meetings with a view to leading the meetings; where appropriate
• Producing monthly, quarterly and annual KPI information including monthly reports and dashboards

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Fully qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA). Have the drive to develop and up skill staff. Strong analytical skills. Have experience of developing and implementing performance reporting and KPI metric. Experience within a construction firm, housing association or private property organization would be beneficial.
