A mix of Cost Accounting and Management Accounts, your role will include:
Cost/Project Accounting:
Ownership and maintenance of manufacturing division standard cost/bill of materials (BOM) data, for all bought in goods.
Periodic review and update of standard costs for each discrete business area.
Reviewing and challenge processes/controls for production/inventory.
Analysis of production and spend variances.
Month-end WIP and inventory valuation to General Ledger.
Investigating bill of materials and production routes.
Responsible for timely and accurate development, processing and reporting of internal costing data.
Providing financial support to the commercial team regarding any financial matters.
Analysis of product cost changes and associated variance analysis.
Business Projects:
Liaison with finance, productions and operations to analyze product cost for new and existing products and “make versus buy”.
Support preparation of the annual manufacturing budget.
Participation in labor cost analysis and scrap business projects.
Management Accounting:
Assist Senior Finance Analyst in the preparation of the financial statements for the site and division including journals and transaction analysis.
Assist Senior Finance Analyst with local reporting for the site/division.
Ensure all balance sheet reconciliations are complete and in line with policies and any material changes reviewed with the Senior Finance Analyst monthly, including:
o WIP calculations
o Accruals & Prepayments
o Deferred revenue
o Goods received not invoiced and inventory valuation
Salary Range & Benefits
The salary range is between £30,000 to £35,000 plus study support

Resourceful with a friendly manner and keen to learn and take on new responsibilities. Good manufacturing and costing experience. Calm, organized, self-motivated and enthusiastic. Manufacturing experience, capable of forecasting against unpredictable costs (flexible workforce & materials costs against order books with short lead times).
